iPhone 12 Launch Live Updates: Apple Set to Launch its First 5G iPhones

Apple is set to launch the iPhone 12 lineup in India and across the world, after months of speculations summing up every rumour from Apple’s supply chain. This year, Apple is set to unveil four new iPhones in its iPhone 12 lineup, with a rumoured 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini, a standard, 6.1-inch iPhone 12, a fully-specced 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and a 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. The new iPhones will be the first devices in Apple’s lineup to offer 5G connectivity, and alongside that, are also expected to come with a new design. Also confirmed in the new iPhones is the A14 Bionic processor, which offers key performance updates over its predecessor.

Apple is also expected to add a new LiDAR sensor to its Pro iPhones this year, making their rear cameras into quad camera modules. The new sensor is expected to add augmented reality features to the new iPhones, in tandem with Apple’s computational photography wizardry that premiered with the iPhone 11 lineup in 2019. The new iPhones will run on iOS 14, which has already premiered worldwide. The latest Apple event is the third of its kind, where the event will be streamed as a pre-recorded, virtual press conference – instead of the annual extravaganza that has now been suspended as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
