Hi Apple, Samsung has a message for you on 5G

Apple has launched its much-anticipated iPhone 12 series. The lineup consists of iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. All new Apple iPhones come with 5G support. Taking a dig at Apple, Android phone major Samsung has shared a post on microblogging site Twitter that reads “Some people are just saying hi to speed now, we’ve been friends for a while. Get your Galaxy 5G device now.” Clearly, Samsung is taking a jibe on Apple being a late entrant in the 5G phone battleground.
The tweet is from the official Twitter handle of Samsung Mobile US.

Speed is one of the key features that the Cupertino-based company has been touting about its latest-generation iPhones. The invite of the launch event ‘Hi, Speed’ written on it. At the event too, the company claimed that 5G connectivity on iPhones will be fastest, at least in the US.
While Apple entered the 5G fray with its iPhone 12 range, Samsung launched its first 5G smartphone in 2019, Galaxy S10 5G. The company’s 2020 flagship phones — Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy S20 FE — also support 5G connectivity.
In fact, not only Samsung, other smartphone brands like OnePlus, Vivo, Realme and Xiaomi too have 5G phones in their portfolio.
Talking about 5G in the iPhone 12 lineup, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing Greg Joswiak said, “This is a huge leap for iPhone, bringing the best 5G experience in the market and delivering our most advanced technologies to users who want the absolute most from their iPhone.” “Each generation of iPhone has changed what we expect from a smartphone, and now with 5G, iPhone 12 Pro provides a new generation of performance. Our tight integration of hardware and software enables incredible computational photography features like the expansion of Night mode to more cameras, and introduces support for HDR video with Dolby Vision. A state-of-the-art LiDAR Scanner means users can experience AR like never before, and also offers benefits to the camera with faster autofocus in low light and the introduction of Night mode portraits. These experiences and so much more make this the best iPhone lineup ever,” added Joswiak.
