Google to hold special online event on October 15

NEW DELHI: Tech giant Google hosted its hardware event last month in which the company launched its latest Pixel 5 smartphone. Now the company has announced a new online event which will focus on Google Search.
The company has announced the ‘Google Search On’ event for October 15. The event will highlight the improvements made to Google Search. Every year Google hosts its developer conference Google I/O where the company unveils new features and services. However, this year the conference could not take place due to COVID-19.
So, in order to compensate for that Google has scheduled this Google ‘Search On’ event. The company will live stream the event on YouTube and on the official Search On website.
In an official statement the company said, “Every year, we make thousands of improvements to Google Search, from advancing our ability to understand language to introducing new features that organize the world’s information in useful ways. We’d like to invite you to tune into our Search On livestream on Thursday, October 15 at 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET where you’ll hear about the latest ways that Google is harnessing the power of AI to help people understand the world around them.”
Recently, Google launched the Pixel 4a smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 29,999, the smartphone will go on sale starting October 16 on Flipkart. The handset is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor paired with Adreno 618 GPU and Titan M security chip. The smartphone packs 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Google Pixel 4a runs Android 10 and comes equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
