And soon after the game, an elated RCB unit congratulated the show-stopper De Villiers on his performance. In a detailed video posted by RCB on their Twitter handle, the entire squad, in awe of the performance from Mr. 360, congratulated him for his incredible performance on a pitch most batsmen found difficult to score on.
From skipper Virat calling him ‘Alien de Villiers’ to Director of Cricket Operations Mike Hesson terming his display a masterclass, everyone hailed the magician’s effort.
De Villiers too himself seemed very happy with his performance and said that he was very pleased that his team ended on the winning side.
“Looking at the runs I got and the balls I faced, it was a nice knock and I am very very pleased that I contributed and got us to a winning position. It was a tough wicket to get in on and honestly I had to take some risks out there. Its a funny old game. Some times the risks pay off, sometimes don’t,” said De Villiers.

Mighty impressed with the clinical performance of his team, skipper Kohli also shared some inspiring words and asked his boys to keep the same mindset moving forward.
“If we turn up in the right mindset then we can do this more often. The ground size, history of this ground, none of it mattered today, because only of our mindset and that for me is the biggest learning we all could get. If we can stay true to that (mindset), there won’t be many days when I will have to say much,” said Kohli.
RCB next face Kings XI Punjab on October 15 in Sharjah.
